Mustangs throttle Cowboys, 81-40

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team throttled the Plains Cowboys on Friday, 81-40, to move to 8-1 overall on the season. The Mustangs got off to a fast start, with six players finding the basket, including six points from Brennon Huguley and five points from Andrew Martinez.

LADY CATS THRASH LAMESA, 74-42

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team blasted the Lamesa Lady Tornadoes on Friday, 74-42, at Wildcat Gym.

Wolverines slash Hart on the road, 72-27

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Hart last Thursday, 72-27, to improve to, 4-3 overall, 2-0 in district play. The Wolverines came out of the gates hot with a 24-point first quarter.

Wolverines open district with win over Lazbuddie

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team opened district play last week with a, 69-11, victory over the Lazbuddie Longhorns. With the win, the Wolverines improved to 3-3 overall, 1-0 in district play.

Nettes blast Bovina Fillies on the road, 81-36

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team thrashed the Bovina Fillies on Friday, 81-36 to improve to 4-9 overall on the season. The Nettes opened the game with a 28-point first quarter and they added 17 points in the second frame to take a, 45-19, lead into the locker room at halftime.

S-E Lady Wolverines thrash Lazbuddie, 51-5

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines defeated the Lazbuddie Lady Horns last Tuesday in District play, 51-5, in their first meeting of the season. With the win, the Lady Wolverines improved to 5-3 overall, 2-0 in district play.

HORNETS FALL TO FLOYDADA AT 80-29

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team fell at home on Tuesday to the Floydada Whirlwinds, 80-29. With the loss, the Hornets fall to 0-6 on the year.

Mustangs top Sundown, 53-39

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team took down Sundown on Tuesday, 53-39, to improve to 7-1 overall on the year. It was a time game early-on with the Mustangs clinging to a twopoint lead, 11-9, in the first quarter and just a four-point lead, 24-20, going into the locker room at halftime.
