Wolverines slash Hart on the road, 72-27

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Hart last Thursday, 72-27, to improve to, 4-3 overall, 2-0 in district play.

The Wolverines came out of the gates hot with a 24-point first quarter. They outscored the Hart longhorns, 10-8, in quarter number two to take a, 34-11, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Springlake-Earth erupted for 28 points to open the second half and closed out the game with 10 points in the fourth quarter to take the contest, 72-27.

Evan DeLeon led the team in scoring with 18 points, and he was joined in double-figures scoring by Dereck Rosales, who netted 17 points and Trace Goodman, who netted 15 points.

Keshan Holmes tallied eight points, while Jaramillo added seven points and Kaden Castillo fmished with six points in the contest.
