Nettes blast Bovina Fillies on the road, 81-36

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team thrashed the Bovina Fillies on Friday, 81-36 to improve to 4-9 overall on the season.

The Nettes opened the game with a 28-point first quarter and they added 17 points in the second frame to take a, 45-19, lead into the locker room at halftime.

They added 23 points in the third quarter and closed out the contest with 13 points in the fourth quarter to finish the thumping of Bovina, 81-36.

They were led in scoring by junior, Addison Boehning, who fmished with a game-hihg 31 points and 12 rebounds, go to along with three steals and two assists. Sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, tallied 10 points, four assists, four steals and one rebound, while junior, Liz Sital, contributed nine points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Sophomore, Gracyn Shultz, tallied eight points, six rebounds, five assists, four steals and one block, while Riley Edens chipped in eight points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Senior, Zoey Cantu, contributed seven points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals, while sophomore, Elaine Martinez, tallied five rebounds, three points, three assists and three steals and sophomore, Sydnie Cornelius, added 10 rebounds, two points and one steal.

Sophomore, Kambry Tolbert, added six rebounds and two points, while sophomore, Landree Gonzales, finished with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one point in the contest.

The Nettes were at Seminole on Monday and hosted Idalou on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They return to action on Dec. 28th with a road game against the Muleshoe Lady Mules.
