Lady Cats clinch play-off spot with win over Tulia

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team secured a spot in the Class 3A play-offs, after taking down Tulia on Tuesday night, 3-0; 25-23, 25-23 and 25-21.With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 17-14 overall, 2-5 in district play.

Mustangs finish 14th overall at 2A Regional Meet

The Olton Musatng’s varsity cross country team competed at the Class 2A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park on Tuesday, where they finished 14th overall as a team with 348 points.Senior, Harry Amador, led the team, placing 24th overall with a time of 18:07.90.

Lady Wolverines place ninth at 1A Regional Meet

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team, as well as Kaylob Frietze and Nathan Ramos competed at the Class 1A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday, where the Lady Wolverines placed ninth overall with 305 points.

Sudan cross country teams compete at 2A Regional Meet

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team and Samuel Briseno competed at the Class 2A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, where the Nettes finished 12th overall as a team.Anneke Vandepol led the Nettes, finishing 22nd overall with a time of 13:28.

Cobi Saldana finishes 55th at 3A Regional XC Meet

Littlefield sophomore, Cobi Saldana, represented the Lady Cat’s cross country team at the Class 3A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons on Tuesday.Saldana finished 55th overall out of 174 runners, clocking a time of 13:54.90.

Hornetscome up short against Lockney, 57-42

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team came up short at home against Lockney on Friday, falling to the Longhorns, 5742.With the loss, the Hornets fall to 4-3 overall, 1-1 in district play.The Hornets totaled 469 yards of offense, including 212 passing yards and 257 rushing yards.
