Defense leads Wildcats in, 28-7, victory over Mules

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team opened the season in the win column on Friday night, as they handled the Muleshoe Mules, 28-7, behind seven turnovers forced by their defense. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 1-0 to begin the season.

Lady Bulldogs run at Twilight Meet

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the West Texas A&M Twilight Meet on Thursday. Dennys Reyes led the team finishing 16th overall with a time of 14:42.99. Nancy Rubio finished 45th with a time of 16:21.50, while America Pacheco finished 60th with a time of 18:32.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at West Texas A&M University’s Twilight Meet on Thursday, where they finished sixth overall as a team. Junior, Taytum Goodman, led the field, placing first overall, clocking a time of 11:29.41.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team defeated the Estacado Lady Matadors in straight sets on Tuesday, 3-0. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 5-3 overall on the season.

Littlefield JV football rallies past Muleshoe

The Littlefield Wildcats’ JV football team pulled out a thriller over the Mules in Muleshoe on Thursday, 35-27, as they open the 2022 season in the win column. With the win, the JV Wildcats improve to 1-0 overall on the season.

By DEREK LOPEZ The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team opened the season in the win column on Friday night, as they handled the Muleshoe Mules, 28-7, behind six turnovers forced by their defense. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 1-0 to begin the season.

Littlefield season tickets on sale now

The seasonal reserved Wildcat Football Tickets will be on sale now through Wednesday, August 31st at the Central Administration Offices, 1207 East 14th Street in Littlefield. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon), and again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
