Olton Mustangs take down Dimmitt, 47-16

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team improved to 2- 0 on Friday with a, 47- 16, road victory over the Dimmitt Bobcats. The Mustangs totaled 445 yards of offense; 241 passing yards and 204 rushing yards, while holding the Bobcats to just 121 total yards.

Wildcats run past Mustangs. 33-14

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team played the spoiler role on Friday night as they defeated the Denver City Mustangs, 33- 14, for the Mustang’s Homecoming game. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 2- 0 overall on the season.

Lady Cats drop heart-breaker to Forsan, 2-3

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team dropped a heart-breaker to Forsan at Ropes on Tuesday, 2-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 11-4 overall on the season. Forsan opened set one with a point, as a hit by the Lady Buffaloes was tipped out of bounds by Madison McNeese.

Lady Cats win thriller over Ropes, 3-2

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team won a thriller over the Ropes Lady Eagles on Tuesday night o the road, 3-2. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 12-4 overall on the season.

Lfd. JV Wildcat football team takes on Denver City

The Littlefield Wildcats’ JV football team took down the Denver City Mustangs, 20-14, on Thursday afternoon to advance to 2-0 overall on the season. With 8:41 to go in the first quarter, Littlefield put the ball on the turf and it was recovered by the Denver City defense.

Lfd. season ticket sale ends today

The seasonal reserved Wildcat Football Tickets will be on sale now through Wednesday, August 31st at the Central Administration Offices, 1207 East 14th Street in Littlefield. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon), and again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Mustangs shutout Hornets, 49-0

The Olton Mustang’s varsity football team won a shutout over the Sudan Hornets on Friday, 49-0, in their home-opener. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 1-0 overall on the season, while the Hornets fall to 0-1.

S-E wOLVERINES FALL TO PANTHERS, 72-32, IN OPENER

The #21 Springlake-Earth Wolverines found themselves in a hole early in a 72-32 road loss to the #21 Whitharral Panthers in the UIL high school six man football season opener Friday night. Turnovers were a big factor in the win. Springlake-Earth lost four fumbles and were intercepted three times.
