The Springlake-Earth varsity girl’s cross country team placed second overall at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet at Plainview on Tuesday with 43 points.
The Lady Wolverines were led by Sydney Furr, who won the district meet with a time of 16:07.28.
Violeta Martinez placed fifth overall with a time of 16:59.84, while Jessica Mendoza finished 9th with a time of 17:28.78. Halee Toscano finished 15th with a time of 18:51.59, while Annabelle Anchondo finished 17th with a time of 19:10.44.
Kyleigh Kennedy finished 21st with a time of 22:35.72, while Ingrid Macias finished 22nd with a time of 22:40.38, Natalie Rosalez finished 25th with a time of 23:03.72, and Anaveah Delao finished 26th with a time of 24:13.66.
