The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team finished third overall on Monday with 77 points at the District 4-2A Cross County Meet that was ran at Lubbock Christian University.
The Mustangs were led by Harry Amador, who placed fourth overall with a time of 18:22. Jacob Escobar also finished in the top 10, placing 10th overall with a time of 19:18.
Sebastian Sparkman finished 18th overall with a time of 21:06, while Javen Bueno finished 20th overall with a time of 21:26, and Jimmy Munoz finished 25th with a time of 21:55. Carlos Saenz finished 30th with a time of 22:42, and Brennen Meredith finished 42nd with a time of 25:56.
On the JV side, Jaime Reyna finished fourth with a time of 23:33, while Kodee Roque finished seventh with a time of 25:09, and Isaac Florentino finished eighth with a time of 25:34.
The Regional Meet will be held on Oct. 24th and 25th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
