Wildcats run at District Meet

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 3-3A Cross Country Meet on Tuesday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, where they finished fifth as a team with 130 points. They were led by sophomore, Brandon Marines, who finished 22nd overall with a time of 20:59.75.

Lady Wolverine XC team places second at District, heading to Regional Meet

The Springlake-Earth varsity girl’s cross country team placed second overall at the District 41A Cross Country Meet at Plainview on Tuesday with 39 points.

Hornets clips Owls in district-opener, 26-6

The Sudan Hornet’s varsity football team kicked off district with a win on Friday, as they took down the Hale Center Owls, 26-6, at the Hornet’s Nest. With the win, the Hornet’s improve to 5-1 overall, 1-0 in district play.

Wolverines come up short against WHiteface, 50-44

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines couldn’t hold on to a hard fought lead in Whiteface last Friday as they fell 50-44 to the Antelopes in UIL high school six-man football action. Both teams struggled offensively in the first quarter.

Lady Cats lose first meeting to Shallowater, 0-3

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team was on the road on Saturday to close out the first half of district play, as they fell to the Shallowater Fillies, 0-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 17-10 overall, 1-3 in district play.
