Anton Lady Dogs JH XC team places fourth at District

The Anton Lady Dogs’ junior high cross country team competed at the District 4-A cross country meet in Plainview earlier this week where they finished fourth as a team with 91 points. Millie Castillo led the team, placing fifth overall with a time of 14:44.41.

Lady Cats compete at District 3-3A Meet

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity 1 1 Cross Country team competed at the 1 District 3-3A Cross Country Meet that took place at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Sophomore, Brianna Castillo, finished 22nd overall with a time of 15:55.71, while junior, Brookelyn Gau, finished 24 th overall with a time of 16:09.45.

Anton boys’ JH XC team competes at District Meet

The Anton Bulldogs’ junior high cross country team competed at the District 4-A cross country meet in Plainview earlier this week. Adrian Castillo led the team, finishing seventh overall with a time of 14:27.53, while Gavin Martinez finished eighth overall with a time of 14:58.31.

Lady Wolverines’ varsity XC team captures District title

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team earned the District 4-A Championship last week at Plainview with 23 points to qualify them for Regionals. The Lady Wolverines swept the top three spots individually, as freshman, Taytum Goodman, placed first with a time of 10:39.66, while sophomore, Kani Holmes, placed second with a time of 13:20.22 and freshman, Emma Samaron, placed third with a time of 13:27.56.

Wolverines race to District 4-A XC title

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team earned the District 4-A Championship last week at Plainview with 21 points to qualify them for Regionals. Junior, Josh Samaron, earned top honors, placing first overall with a time of 17:22.41.

Lady Wolverines’ JV XC team earns district title

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ JV cross country team earned the District 4-A Championship last week at Plainview with 15 points. Angelina Tovar placed first overall with a time of 14;39.88, while Micaela Fuentes placed third with a time of 16:09.97.

Amherst takes down Panthers, 48-43
