The Littlefield Wildcats’s varsity baseball team traveled to Denver City on Tuesday for their first meeting with the Mustangs, dropping the contests in extra innings, 7-6. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 9-7 overall, 2-1 in district play.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity baseball team cruised to a run-rule victory in district play on Friday, as they took down the Ralls Jackrabbits, 14-4, at Mustang Field. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 7-10 overall, 4-2 in district play.

The Springlake-Earth Junior High track teams competed at the District 4-1A Track Meet at Kress High School on Thursday with the Lady Wolverines placing third overall with 106 points and the Wolverines finishing sixth with 47 points.

The Littlefield Junior High seventh and eighth grade track teams competed at the District 3-3A Track Meet at Mustang Stadium in Denver City on Thursday. The seventh grade boys claimed the District Championship with 127 points, while the eighth grade boys finished as the District runner-ups with 136 points. The eighth grade girls also finished as the District runner-ups with 154 points, and the seventh grade girl’s finished third with 101 points.

The Sudan varsity track teams competed at the Roughneck Relays in Sundown on Friday, March 22nd with the Hornets taking second place overall with 114 points and the Nettes finishing fifth with 54 points.
