Olton ISD is welcoming Audra Blevins this school year as she joins the district as a special education teacher and takes on the roles of head volleyball and junior high basketball coach.
Throughout her career, Blevins has focused on building relationships with students and helping them grow both inside and outside of the classroom, bringing 22 years of teaching and coaching experience with her to Olton ISD As she begins her new role in special education, Blevins said working with students in this area is something she is passionate about and considers a calling.
“This is a calling that lies deep in my heart,” said Blevins.
Along with her work in the classroom, Blevins will join Olton’s coaching staif, leading the volleyball and junior high basketball teams.
Outside of school, Blevins enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and their three children, Adley, Mack, and Jameson. The family spends much of their time outdoors at their ranch in New Mexico and their homestead outside of Muleshoe.
Blevins also expressed how excited she is to be a part of the Olton community.
“What excites me most about joining Olton ISD is the opportunity to be part of a close-knit community with so much pride and tradition,” said Blevins.
As she begins her first year with Olton ISD, Blevins said she is looking forward to building relationships with students, families, and staff while becoming an active part of the Mustang community.
