Sudan Council schedules Zoom meeting

The monthly meeting of the Sudan Ciy Council will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Sudan Community Center, located at 107, East First Avenue in Sudan, via video conference through Zoom.

TEN LHS PERFECT ATTENDANCE STUDENTS—These 10 students were drawn Friday, May 7, 2021, from a list of more than 100 students with perfect attendance, for a chance at the drawing Tuesday morning, May 11, to win a totally free 2021 Chevrolet Spark. At the drawing Tuesday morning at Roley’s AutoCenter, when the student’s name was called, he or she picked up a box with a key in it, like those shown on the lower right. A full court was present for the regular meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners Monday morning, May 10, 2021, when they considered an 11-item business agenda. That included the seven consent agenda items, which require no deliberation by the court, and are considered in one vote of action.

AREA ATHLETES MEDAL AT STATE TRACK MEET

TWICE IS NICE – Springlake-Earth freshman, Taytum Goodman, brought home the gold medal in both the Women’s 800-meter run and the 1,600-meter run, clocking times of 2:17.45 and 5:06.78 to break the State Record in both events on Saturday. She also took third place in the 400-meter dash, finishing with a time of 1:00.34, at the 1A State Track Meet at the University of Texas at Austin. (Submitted Photo)

The Littlefield Economic Development Corporation Type A met at 12 noon Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Chamber of Commerce Office, 601 E. 4th Street, to consider matters and related incidents to the City of Littlefield.

Commissioners to meet Monday

Lamb County Commissioners will conduct a business meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2021, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where they will consider eight items on their agenda. That also includes the seven consent agenda items, to make the agenda 11 items for their consideration.

The Littlefield Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet in Regular Session on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 7 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Building.
