Hospital Board to conduct special Monday at Noon

The Board of Managers of the Lamb County Hospital (Lamb Healthcare Center), will conduct a special meeting at 12 noon Monday, May 10, in the education Roomof Lamb Healthcare center, 1500 South Sunset in Littlefield.

Library hosing summer reading program in June

The Lamb County Library in Littlefield will be presenting the 2021’s Summer Reading Program, featurig “Tails and Tales!” The library is located at 110 East Sixth Street in Littlefield. During the month of June, every Wednesday, the library will host this annual reading event.

Yearbook donations

Are your yearbooks collecting dust? Taking up valuable space? Wanting to declutter? The Lamb County Library is seeking donations of Littlefield High School yearbooks. In an effort to update and complete the library’s collection, the library asking if anyone is willing to part with their old yearbooks.

A NEW 2021 CAR

A NEW 2021 CAR will be awarded to an LHS student from grades Freshman through Senior, who have had perfect attendance this school year. Ten students, whose names were drawn Friday, May 7, 2021 from the 100 students who qualify with perfect attendance, will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Wildct Stadium, when each will receive a box with a car key in it, and the student with the key that starts the car will be the winner. The 10 students are: Matthew Solis, Kamron Palma, Emily Champion, Mason Jones, Abigail Bass, Katelyn Gau, Rosa Chairez, Brianna Escovedo, NyKibbian Wooley, and Javen Jimenez. THREE CLASSES OF SUDAN FIRST GRADERS were treated to a visit from the Sudan Volunteer Firemen and two fire trucks Tuesday, May 4th durig International Firefighters’ Day. On the left of the back row, are three of the Sudan Volunteer firemen: Dustin Provence, Caleb Swofford, and Patty Hill. READING A BOOK: “Sparky the Fire Dog” is Quinci Willoughby to Sudan First Graders, for recognition of the Sudan Firefighters, in observation of May 4, as International Firefighters’ Day. On May 4, every year, firefighters are remembered for the risks and work that firefighters take day to day. Firefighters Day was created in 1999 after five firefighters lost their lives during an Australian wildfire. International Firfighters’ Day is a time when the world can recognize and honor the sacrifices that firefighters make to ensure that their communities and environments are as safe as possible. It is also when current and past firefighters can be thanked for their contriutions.
