The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team held off the Friona Squaws on Saturday, 3-1, in their first meeting of district play at Wildcat Gym in Littlefield. With the win, the Lady Cats are 3-1 in district play.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team came out in front on Friday, 21-0, after their game at Smyer was called at halftime due to inclement weather. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 4-1 overall heading into district play this week.

Littlefield XC teams compete at Sundown

The Littlefield Lady Cats and Wildcats’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday, where the Lady Cats placed 20 th overall with 475 points. On the girl’s side, senior, Brianna Acevedo, finished 73 rd overall, clocking a time of 16:02.87, while freshman, Brinley Acevedo, finished 83rd with a time of 16:20.21.

Nettes place eighth at Oil Patch Invitational

The Sudan Hornets and Nettes’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday, where the Nettes placed eighth overall with 199 points. On the girl’s side, Freshman, Addisyn Harrell, led the team, clocking a time of 14:32.46, while senior, Hailey Flores, finished 38 th with a time of 15:11.95.

Olton varsity XC teams compete at Sundown

The Olton Mustang and Fillies’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the girl’s side, Freshman, Yareli Santillan, finished 74 th with a time of 16:03.40, while freshman, Ciara Zermeno, finsihed 87th with a time of 16:36.45.

Amherst Lady Bulldogs XC team runs at Sundown

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. Freshman, America Pacheco, led the team, clocking a time of 14:35.25, while freshman, Nevaeh Esquibel, finished 109 th with a time of 17:41.95, and junior, Nancy Rubio, finished 130 th with a time of 18:39.88.

Anton XC teams compete at Sundown

The Anton Lady Dogs and Bulldogs’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday, where the Lady Dogs finished 18 th with 445 points. On the girl’s side, Junior, Andalesia Alonzo-Rivera, led the team, finishing 90th overall with a time of 16:41.53, while sophomore, Madison Campos, finished 100th with a time of 17:17.31, and freshman, Isabela Juarez, finished 102 nd with a time of 17:24.80.
