The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team took down Boys Ranch at home on Friday, 37-6, to improve to 5-2 overall, 1-1 in district play. In the first quarter, Olton got the scoring started, as junior quarterback, Logan Lassiter, found junior receiver, Jake Soliz, for a 35-yard touchdown pass.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team swept the Lamesa Lady Tornadoes on Tuesday, 3-0, at Wildcat Gym. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 5-2 in District Play.

The Sudan Middle School Nettes and Hornets’ cross country teams competed at the District 5-2A Cross Country Meet on Monday at the Yoakum County Golf Course, where the Hornets places second with 54 points and the Nettes placed first with 19 points.

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. Sophomore, Dennys Reyes, qualified for Regionals on Tuesday, when she placed ninth overall with a time of 14:15.28.

The Anton Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. They placed third overall with 67 points, qualifying them for Regionals.

The Anton Lady Dogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. Freshman, Isabela Juarez, qualified for Regionals, when she placed 10th overall, clocking a time of 14:20.38.

It was the tale of two halves for the Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team on Friday night, as they dropped a heartbreaker at home to the Dalhart Wolves, 41-32. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 3-5 overall, 0-2 in district play.
