LADY CATS WIN BIG MATCH OVER FILLIES, 3-1

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team won a huge match in district play on Saturday when they took down the Denver City Fillies, 3-1, at Wildcat Gym. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 6-2 in district play.

Olton starts fast, finishes strong in, 37-6, victory over Boys Ranch

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team took down Boys Ranch at home on Friday, 37-6, to improve to 5-2 overall, 1-1 in district play. In the first quarter, Olton got the scoring started, as junior quarterback, Logan Lassiter, found junior receiver, Jake Soliz, for a 35-yard touchdown pass.

Sudan middle school XC teams compete at District

The Sudan Middle School Nettes and Hornets’ cross country teams competed at the District 5-2A Cross Country Meet on Monday at the Yoakum County Golf Course, where the Hornets places second with 54 points and the Nettes placed first with 19 points.

Lady Bulldogs sending one to Regional Meet

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. Sophomore, Dennys Reyes, qualified for Regionals on Tuesday, when she placed ninth overall with a time of 14:15.28.

Anton girls XC team advances one to Regionals

The Anton Lady Dogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. Freshman, Isabela Juarez, qualified for Regionals, when she placed 10th overall, clocking a time of 14:20.38.

WILDCATSN DROP HEART-BEAKER TO DALHART, 41-32

It was the tale of two halves for the Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team on Friday night, as they dropped a heartbreaker at home to the Dalhart Wolves, 41-32. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 3-5 overall, 0-2 in district play.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team placed first at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview with 35 points. Sophomore, Taytum Goodman, led the team, placing first overall, clocking a time of 10:59.06.
