The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team won their homeopener on Tuesday night against Hale Center, taking down the Lady Owls, 55-41. With the win the Lady Cats improve to 2-0 overall on the season.

The Amherst Bullodgs’ varsity football team fell short on the road on Friday night against the Whitharral Panthers, 46-32, for the District 2-1A Championship. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 9-1 overall on the season, 2-1 in district play.

Olton falls to Floydada, 3125, to close regular season

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team fell to the Floydada Whirlwinds on the road on Friday night, 31-25, as the regular season came to a close. With the loss, the Mustangs finish the season 7- 3 overall, 3- 2 in district play.

Lady wolverines finish fourth at State XC Meet

The Springlake- Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed in Round Rock on Friday morning at the State Cross Country Meet, which took place at Old Settler’s Park. The Lady Wolverines placed fourth as a team with 131 points.

Lady Cats fall to Lady Falcons, 0-3, in first round of play-offs

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team saw their season come to an end on Monday in the Class 3A Bi-district round of the volleyball play-offs, as they fell to the Bushland Lady Falcons in straight sets, 0-3, at Dimmitt.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team picked up a solid victory over Bovina on the road on Friday, 40-18, to stay alive in the hunt for a District Championship. With the win, the Hornets improve to 6-3 overall, 3-1 in district play.
