The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Hart on Friday, 80-47 to improve to 2-0 in district play. The Wolverines came out strong, pouring in 22 points in the first quarter.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team dropped a nailbiter on Tuesday against Dimmitt in their district-opener, as they fell to the Bobcats in overtime, 51-49. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 6-12 overall, 0-1 in district play.

Lady Wolverines take down Hart, 67-49

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Hart on Tuesday, 67-49, in their first meeting of district play. With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 12-6 overall, 3-0 in district play.

LADY CATS TOP DIMMITT, 55-31

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team moved to 3-0 in district play on Tuesday with a home victory over the Dimmitt Bobbies, 55-31. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 15-7 overall on the season.

NETTES WIN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES TO OPEN GRUVER HOLIDAY CLASSIC

The Sudan Nettes won both their day one games at the Gruver Holiday Classic this past weekend, as they took down Perryton, 60-55, and Spearman, 50-37. Against Perryton, the Nettes jumped out to a, 19-9, lead, but Perryton would rally back in the second frame to outscore the Nettes, 18-16, trimming the Sudan lead to, 35-27, going into the locker room at halftime.

Hornets compete at Caprock Classic

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team competed at the Caprock Classic in Lubbock this past week, where they went 0-4 against some tough competition. In their opener, they took on the Shallowater Mustangs at Coronado High School, falling to the Mustangs, 94-27.

Fillies close out Wildcat Classic with loss to Dumas

The Olton Fillies’ varsity basketball team came up short in their final game of the Wildcat Classic last Wednesday, falling to the Dumas Demonettes, 57-43. After tallying just two points in the first quarter, Olton poured in 12 points in the second frame to cut the lead to, 28-14, going into the locker room at halftime.
