Lady Cats drop tough match to Childress, 0-3

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball dropped a tough match on the road Tuesday night, as they fell to the Childress Lady Cats, 0-3.With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 1-4 in district play.

Sudan qualifies four runners for 2A Regional Meet

The Sudan Hornets and Nettes’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet on Tuesday, at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.The Nettes were led by Anneke Van De Pool who placed fifth overall with a time of 13:37.

Frietze to represent S-E at Regional XC Meet

The Springlake-Earth Wolverine Cross Country Team competed at the District Meet in Plainview on Tuesday, where Kaylob Frietze qualified for the Regional Meet, placing third overall with a time of 19:00.00.Josiah Castillo also competed in the race, finishing 19th overall with a time of 24:12.

Villanueva leads Wildcats, headed to Regional Meet

The Littlefield Wildcat and Lady Cats’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the District 2-3A District Cross Country Meet on Monday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.The Wildcats were led by NoahVillanueva, who punched his ticket to Regionals, placing second overall, clocking a time of 17:18.

Bulldogs come up short against Follett, 79-50

The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity football team fell to the Follett Panthers on Friday, 79-50, at home.With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 1-4 overall on the year.It was a tight game early on, with Follett holding a one score lead, 30-22, with 8:36 to go in the first half.

Wildcats slay Cubs, 42-21

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team went on the road Friday night and came back with a, 42-21, victory over Brownfield to stay unbeaten on the season.With the win, the Wildcats improve to 5-0 overall on the year.
