Noah Villanueva set to represent Wildcats at State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock

Littlefield junior, Noah Villanueva, will be representing Littlefield at the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock, Tx, on Friday.Villanueva is the first Littlefield cross country runner to advance to the State Meet since 2011.“ It means a lot,” he stated.

Johnny Rosemond wins Week 9 Football Contest

The Lamb County Leader-News’ annual football contest’s wrapped up week nine last week, leaving just three weeks left in this year’s contest.This week, we had two contestants tie for the top spot with a mark of 17-3. They were Johnny Rosemond and Ronnie Martin.

The Springlake- Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team went on the road on Thursday night and took down the Happy Cowboys, 58-22, at Cowboy Corral.With the win, the Wolverines improve to 2-1 in district play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team went on the road on Tuesday and took down the Talkington Lady Warriors, 3-0, at Lubbock High to keep their play-off hopes alive.With the win, the Lady Cats improved to 3-6 in district play.

Hornets sting longhorns, 56-6

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team blasted the Lockney Longhorns on Friday, 56-6.With the win, the Hornets improve to 6-1 overall, 2-0 in district play.The Hornets totaled 369 yards of offense, including 250 rushing yards and 119 passing yards.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team won their district- opener over Crosbyton on Friday night, 50-6.With the win, the Hornets improve to 5-1 overall on the year, 1-0 in district play.The Hornets totaled 422 yards of offense, including 343 rushing yards and 79 passing yards.
