The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team fell short in their season-opener on Saturday at home against Abernathy, 7-5. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 0-1 to open the season.

Wildcats close out season with win at Denver City

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team closed out their season on Tuesday with a road win over the Denver City Mustangs, 42-39. With the win, the Wildcats end their season with a mark of 12-17 overall, 6-6 in district play.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team took down the Smyer Lady Cats on Monday, 77-26, at Frenship’s Tiger Pit, in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the Playoffs.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team claimed the Class 1A Bi-district trophy on Tuesday at Friona High School with a, 49-29, victory over Wildorado. With the win the Lady Wolverines improved to 22-7 overall on the season.

Mustangs rally past Steers for District title

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team won a thriller in Farwell on Friday in front of a packed gym, as they took down the Steers, 58-54, to claim the District 3-2A title. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 26-3 overall, 7-0 in district play.

Lady Cats fall to Lady Mules, 35-33, in seeding game

The Littlefield Lady Cats fell to the Muleshoe Lady Mules on Friday, 35-33, during their seeding game to determine second and third place in District 3-3A. With the loss, the Lady Cats will enter the play-offs as the three seed, while the Lady Mules will enter as the two seed.
