Sudan clips eagles, 43-12, to claim bi-district title

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team defeated the Ropes Eagles in Slaton on Friday, 43-12, to claim the Class 2A Bi-district Championship and advance to the 2A Area Round of the play-offs. The hornets totaled 383 yards of total offense, including 203 rushing yards and 180 passing yards.

Nettes blast Vega, 74-39, for first win of season

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night with a, 74-39, victory on the road against the Vega Lady Horns. With the win, the Nettes improved to 1-1 overall on the season.

Lady Wolverines come up short at Lockney, 50-46

Wolverines’ varsity basketball team came up short on the road against Lockney on Tuesday in their season-opener, 50-46. With the loss, the Lady Wolverines fall to, 0-1 overall on the season.

Wolverines blast Spur to claim 1A Bi-district title

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team won a back-and-forth contest over the Spur Bulldogs, 50-42, in Lockney on Thursday night to claim the 1A Bi-district Championship. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 8-3 overall on the season.

Mustangs take down Whirlwinds, 39-27

The Olton Mustangs’ took down the Floydada Whirlwinds, 39-27, to secure the number two seed coming out of District 22A D-I. With the win, the Mustangs finish the season 6-4 overall, 32 in district play.

Wildcat football season comes to a close against Eagles

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team had their season come to a close on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium, as they fell to the Roosevelt Eagles, 42-20, on senior night. With the loss, the Wildcats finish the season with a mark of 6-4 on the year.
