Wolverines come up short against WHiteface, 50-44

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines couldn’t hold on to a hard fought lead in Whiteface last Friday as they fell 50-44 to the Antelopes in UIL high school six-man football action. Both teams struggled offensively in the first quarter.

Lady Cats lose first meeting to Shallowater, 0-3

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team was on the road on Saturday to close out the first half of district play, as they fell to the Shallowater Fillies, 0-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 17-10 overall, 1-3 in district play.

Lady Wolverines place fourth at Sundown Oil Patch Invitational

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team placed fourth overall on Saturday at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown with 140 total points.

Wildcats finish 13th at Oil Patch Invitational

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity cross country team competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday where they finished 13th as a team with 396 points. Sophomore, Brandon Marines, led the team finishing 77th, clocking a time of 22:03.76.

Lady Cats run at Sundown meet

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity cross country team competed at the Oil Patch Invitational on Saturday in Sundown, but did not have enough runners to qualify in the team results. Jazmine Rosales finished 77th with a time of 16:28.

Mustangs place 15th at Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday where they finished 15th as a team with 411 points. Sophomore, Harry Amador, led the Mustangs finishing 49th overall with a time of 20:35.55.

Sudan cross country teams compete at Sundown

The Sudan varsity cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational Cross Country Meet in Sundown on Saturday where the Nettes placed 14th overall with 317 total points. The Hornets did not have enough runners to qualify for the team results.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team fell short in their comeback efforts on Friday night, as they fell to the Longhorns in Vega, 21-13, for their first loss of the season. With the loss, the Mustangs close out the pre-district schedule with a mark of 4-1.
