Lady Cats drop season-opener to Estacado, 65-44

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team had their home-opener on Saturday, as they opened the season with a loss to the Estacado Lady Matadors, 6544. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 0-1 overall on the season.

Lady Cats fall to Bushland in Bi-district

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team’s season came to an end on Tuesday night, as they fell to the Bushland Lady Falcons, 0-3, at Tulia Gymnasium. With the loss, the Lady Cats finish the season with a mark of 1914 overall.

Wildcats drop heart-breaker to Idalou, 17-13

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team dropped a heart-breaker to the Idalou Wildcats on the road on Friday, 17-13. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 54 overall, 1-3 in district play. Littlefield totaled 223 yards of offense, including 112 passing yards and 111 rushing yards.

Hornets grind out win over Bovina, 25-22

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team scored a late touchdown in the fourth quarter to pull ahead of the Bovina Mustangs on Friday night, taking the contest, 25-23, to stay unbeaten in district play. With the win, the Hornets improve to 8-1 overall, 4-0 in district play.

Olton blows out Bulldogs, 69-20

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football is making a push for the postseason, as they blew out Tahoka, 69-20, on the road on Friday night to improve to 6-3 overall, 2-2 in district play. The Mustangs totaled 604 yards of total offense, including 310 passing yards and 294 rushing yards.

Lady Wolverines hunting State XC Championship

The 2022 Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team was crowned the 1A Region I Regional Champs and they are the first girl’s team since 2017 to make it as a group to the State Cross Country Meet from Springlake-Earth.
