Wildcats drop heart-breaker to Cubs, 28-14

The Littlefield Wildcats' varsity football team was plagued by turnovers as they dropped a, 28-14, heart-breaker on Friday night to the Brownfield Cubs. The loss is the Wildcats' first blemish on the season dropping them to 4-1 overall heading into the bye week.

Olton knocks off Bovina, 56- 26, on Homecoming

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team celebrated Homecoming on Friday with a, 56-26, thumping of the Bovina Mustangs to stay unbeaten on the year. With the win, the Mustangs improved to 4-0 overall on the season.

Hornets clip eagles, 36-20

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team pushed their winning streak to three games on Friday, as they clipped the Seagraves Eagles, 36-20, for the Homecoming victory. After a scoreless first quarter, Seagraves struck first in quarter number two with a six-yard touchdown run by Ethan Salazar.

Nettes XC team runs at Lubbock Invitational

The Sudan varsity girl’s cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Cross Country Invitational, where they finished 16th overall, clocking a total team time of 1:27:07.7. The Nettes were led by freshman, Carly Groetken, who finished 69th overall, clocking a time of 16:21.2.

Amherst Lady Bulldogs run hard at Lubbock Meet

The Amherst varsity girl’s cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Cross Country Invitational, where they finished 13th overall as a team with a total time of 1:34:37.9. The Lady Bulldogs were led by junior, Dennys Reyes, who finished 13th overall, clocking a time of 14:42.7.

The Littlefield Wildcat and Lady Cats’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Lubbock ISD Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The Wildcats were led by sophomore, Brandon Marines, who finished 120th overall, clocking a time of 21:26.6.

Anton Bulldogs fall to Whiteface, 53-6

The Anton Bulldogs continue to struggle as they lost 53-6 in a road game against the Whiteface Antelopes last Friday in UIL high school six-man football action. The Antelopes held the Bulldogs to under 30 yards total offense. The Bulldogs were unable to get much going for most of the game.

Lady Cats sweep Loop in straight sets

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team took down the Loop Lady Horns in straight sets last Saturday, 3-0. With the win, the Lady Cats improved to 11-5 overall on the season.

Anton falls to KPA Sept. 9, 48-0

The Anton Bulldogs were defanged 48-0 by a stifling Kingdom Prep Academy Warrior defense in UIL six- man high school football action in Anton last Friday. The Bulldogs were held to 89 yards total offense and only got past their own 30 yard line once, on the last drive of the game.
