Nettes split games with Sands, Post Thursday in Lamesa

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team split their games on Thursday on the opening day of the O.W. Follis Basketball Tournament in Lamesa, as they beat Post, 88-32, and fell to Sands, 40-32. The Nettes moved to 1-1 to open tournament play on Thursday.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team went 0-4 this past weekend at the Tahoka Tournament. The Hornets fall to 0-5 overall on the season. They fell to Morton, 57-45.

JV1 Lady Cats take down Hereford JV, 47-43

The Littlefield JV1 Lady Cats defeated Hereford on Tuesday evening, 47-43, at Wildcat Gymnasium. Littlefield held a two-point lead, 13-11, over Hereford at the end of one, but Hereford poured in 12 points in the second frame to take the lead, 23-22, going into the locker room at halftime.
