The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ junior high cross country teams placed first at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview. The boys finished with 18 points, while the girls finished with 43 points.
On the boy’s side, Luis Fuentes placed first overall with a time of 13:28.62, while Cohen Ethridge placed second with a time of 14:15.97, and Bryan Longoria finished fifth with a time of 15:42.00.
Isaac Sotelo finished seventh with a time of 15:52.25, and Robert Flores finished 9th with a time of 16:21.59.
On the girl’s side, Aabriella Villanueva placed first overall with a time of 13:57.18, while Chelsie Bridges finished third overall with a time of 14:40.34, and Jessica Mendoza finished ninth with a time 16:12.12.
Violeta Martinez Flores finished 20th with a time of 18:27.97,while Braylee Herriage finished 21st> with a time of 18:28.25, and Hannah Alvarez finished 22nd with a time of 18:33.12
Ennah Mosqueda finished 32nd with a time of 20:14.66, and Natalie Rosalez finished 36th with a time of 20:45.00.
