The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team dropped a nail-biter on Friday at home to Lamesa, 53-52. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 7-14 overall, 1-3 in district play. Jordan Trevino tossed a pass inside to Tyrell Norman, who dropped in a lay-up to open the game for Littlefield.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team won a non-district match-up over the Idalou Wildcats, 64-45, on Friday. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 19-3 overall, heading into district play.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team traveled to Amherst on Friday and took down the Lady Bulldogs, 69-16, in their first meeting of the season. With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 15-7 on the year, 6-0 in district play.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team is looking to make another deep run in the post-season, after making it to the Class 2A Regional Semi-Finals last year. Head Coach Benny Lockhart has the Nettes at 15-10 overall, 2-0 in district play in his ninth year at the helm in Sudan.
