MUSTANGS OPEN DISTRICT WIN WIN OVER VEGA, 79-54

The Olton Mustang’s varsity basketball team took down the Vega Longhorns on Thursday, 79-54, opening district play with a victory. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 20-3 overall, 1-0 in district play.

8TH GRADE WILDCAT BASKETBALL TEAM WINS ABERNATHY TOURNAMENT

ABERNATHY TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS – This past weekend, the Littlefield Wildcats’ eighth grade basketball team competed in the Abernathy Tournament, where they went 3-0 to take first place. In their firstround match-up, Littlefield defeated Slaton, 43-24.

Mustangs blast Boys Ranch at home, 84-26

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team made it back-to-back district wins on Friday with a home victory over Boys Ranch, 84-26. With the win, the Mustangs boost their record to 21-3 overall, 2-0 in district play.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team took down the Muleshoe Mules on Tuesday, 60-47, in their first meeting of district play. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 2-3 in district play.

S-E Wolverines take down Amherst, 81-62

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team had three 20-plus point scorers on Friday in their, 81-62, victory over Amherst. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 12-6 overall, 5-0 in district play, while Amherst falls to 1-3 in district play.

Nettes cruise past Sundown, 56-25

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team took down Sundown, 56-25, to stay unbeaten in District play. With the win, the Nettes improve to 3-0 in district play. It was a low-scoring affair in the first quarter, with Sudan clinging to a, 7-3, lead heading into quarter number two.
