The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team had three 20-plus point scorers on Friday in their, 81-62, victory over Amherst.
With the win, the Wolverines improve to 12-6 overall, 5-0 in district play, while Amherst falls to 1-3 in district play.
It was a tight game early-on, with Springlake-Earth clinging to a, 21-20 lead after one quarter. The Wolverines would go on to add 21 points in the second frame, to take a, 42-34, lead into the locker room at halftime.
Both teams tallied 18 points in the third quarter, but the Wolverines outscored Amherst, 21-10, in the final frame to take the contest, 81-62.
JJ Jaramillo led the team in scoring with 24 points, while Evan joined him in double-figures with 22 points and Kaden Castillo chipped in 21 points. Trace Goodman tallied six points, while Alex Alvarez and Josh Samaron each finished with four points.
The Wolverines were at Cotton Center on Friday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Tuesday with a road game against Lazbuddie.

Tip-off for the Wolverines is scheduled for 8 p.m., while Amherst will tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
