LADY WOLVERINES READY TO MAKE PLAY-OFF RUN

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines are looking to repeat as District Champions this season under veteran Head Coach Jeri Been Goodman. Coach Goodman is in her fifth year back at the helm of the Lady Wolverines girls’ athletic program.

MUSTANGS LOOKING TO AVENGE LAST YEAR’S EARLY PLAY-OFF EXIT

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team has posted an 18- 3 record thus far this season, as they look to avenge last year’s first-round play-off exit. Head Coach Bobby Workman is into his fifth year as the leader of the Boy’s basketball program at Olton.

FILLIES EYEING SPOT IN POST-SEASON

The Olton Fillies’ varsity basketball team is looking to make a push for the play-offs under Head Coach Brittany Huseman, who is into her first year of heading up the Fillies basketball program. The Fillies are off to a 10-15 start overall this season and are 1-1 in district play.

Joshua Hinojosa first year head coach for the Anton Bulldogs, has his sights set on getting his team to the playoffs this season. The Bulldogs fell short of a playoff spot last year, finishing the season with an 8-11 record.

The Anton Lady Dogs’ varsity basketball team is 8-11 overall, 2-2 in district play under Head Coach Tami Wilson, who is into her first year at the helm in Anton. Prior to joining the Anton Coaching staff, Wilson spent the last 10 years at Seagraves.

Lady Cats take down Squaws, 67-41

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team got back in the win column on Tuesday, as they took down the Friona Squaws, 67-41, in their first meeting of the season. With the win, the Lady Cats improve 16-8 overall, 4-1 in district play.
