Jesus Magallanes, 91, of Olton, died Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. Rosary was said Monday evening, February 12, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass was celebrated Tuesday morning, February 13, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Alex Ambrose officiating. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Jesus was born November 8, 1932, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Antonio and Genoveva (Jimenez) Magallanes. On September 24, 1960, he married Arcelia Chacon. Living in Olton for 58 years, Jesus was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He was a farmer for over 33 years in the Olton area. Being outdoors, working on the farm, and tending his garden are things Jesus enjoyed most. In his earlier years, Jesus enjoyed playing baseball and was a talented pitcher. He enjoyed fishing and was a Eucharist Minister for the church.

Maria Dolores Pedroza, 86, of Olton, died Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home in Olton, Texas. Rosary was said Tuesday evening, February 13, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Alex Ambrose officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Jo Leatherwood, 76, of Spade, Texas, passed away on Saturday January 27, 2024. She was born December 20,1947 in Littlefield, Texas to Grady and Clara Duffer.

Bonnie Jean Richardson, 90, of Levelland, passed away Friday January 26, 2024, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Bonnie was born July 23, 1933, to Toy Cleveland and Alpa Lois Wimberely Dutton in Knox City, Texas.
