Theodore Foy Wright (Papa)

Aug. 10, 1950 ~ June 11, 2026

Theodore Foy Wright (Papa), 75, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026. Born on August 10, 1950, in Amherst, Texas, to Jack and Erma Wright, Papa lived a life defined by service, hard work, and an immense love for his family.

In 1971, Papa was drafted into the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam era while stationed in Germany. Following his service, he and his wife, Donna, opened Wright Motors in 1973, later expanding to include Wright Collision and towing services. He took great pride in his business, earning an unmatched reputation in the industry until his retirement in 2018.

In 1976, Papa married the love of his life, Donna. Together they raised three sons, whom Papa often spoke of with great pride and honor. While his devotion to his wife and children was deep, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren always held a special place in his heart and brought a twinkle to his eyes.

A true patriot and a lover of cars and tow trucks, Papa was also known for his signature endless cups of coffee. He enjoyed watching westerns and following the news, but his favorite pastime was connecting with people. He never met a stranger, and within five minutes of meeting someone new, he likely knew their entire life story.

While we have lost an irreplaceable man, heaven has gained a warrior. We know he is watching over us and resting easy.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Wright; his children, Kevin (Heather), Casey (Vanna), and Allen Wright (Raquel); his grandchildren, Victoria (Tanner), Peyton, KJ, Micah, Eden, Bella, Madison, Mila, and Cameron; and his greatgrandchildren, Selah, Mercy, and Valley. He is also survived by his siblings, Dianna, Deborah, Billy, James, and Jeanie, as well as close family friends John McKinnerey, Renee Whillock, and Marjorie Wright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Erma Wright.

Memorial services were held Monday morning, June 15, 2026 at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
