SECOND PLACE — The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity golf team took second place at the Lazbuddie Booster Club Gold Invitational earlier this week with freshman, Taytum Goodman, earning the top finisher on the team with a sixth-place finish.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team picked up their first win of the regular season on Thursday with a victory over Crosbyton in their home-opener. With the win, the Nettes, improve to 1-6 overall on the season.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team strung together 14 hits, but fell to the Hale Center Lady Owls, 25-24. With the loss, the Nettes fall to 1-7 overall on the season.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverine and Lady Wolverine’ varsity track teams competed at the Denver City Spring Break Track Meet on Friday with the girls finishing sixth overall with 39 points and the boys finishing seventh with 16 points.

The Sudan Hornets and Nettes’ JV track teams hosted the Son Qualls Relays on Thursday with both teams placing first overall at the event. The boys finished with 183 points, while the girls finished with 145 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 1st Melodia Rodriguez 14.
