Lady Wolverines JV cross country team places fourth overall at LCU

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ JV cross country team finished fourth overall and first out of three 1A schools at LCU on Saturday in a field of 97 runners, seven total teams. Jade Hill led the team, finishing 16 th overall with a time of 15:48, missing earning a medal by one spot.

Hornets XC team runs at LCU

The Sudan Hornets’ cross country team placed 28 th overall out of 36 teams in the small school division with 686 points on Saturday at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational. The Hornets were led by Drew Lockhart, who finished 95 th overall with a time of 20:08.

Sudan Middle School XC teams run at LCU

The Sudan Middle School Hornets and Nettes’ cross country teams competed at LCU this past Saturday with the boys finishing 20 th overall with 501 points. The Hornets were led by Jason Bohler, who finished 66 th overall with a time of 13:53.30.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team went into Cowboy Corral on Thursday night and knocked off the #8 Happy Cowboys, 68-36. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 2-1 overall on the season. The Wolverines won the coin flip and deferred to the second half.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team had the “Wildcat Magic” working in the fourth quarter, as they rallied from being down 20 points at the start of the fourth quarter to take down the Post Antelopes, 21-20, at Wildcat Stadium.
