NATALIA SANCHEZ - Littlefield Lady Cats

LADY CATS SLAY LADY CUBS, 10-6

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team picked up a huge win on the road on Tuesday over the Brownfield Lady Cubs, 10-6, moving them into a tie for second place in the district standings. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 11-7 overall, 4-3 in district play.

Anton JH track teams compete at District 4-1A Meet

The Anton Junior High seventh and eighth grade track teams competed at the District 4-1A Track Meet that was hosted by Kress High School on Friday. The Boys finished fourth overall with 54 points, while the girls finished sixth overall with 56 points.

Sudan JV track teams place second at District 5-2A Meet

The Sudan JV track teams hosted the District 5-2A Track Meet on Friday, where the Nettes took second place overall with 116 points and the Hornets placed second with 131 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 1st Aspen Cantu 14.76 3rd Jaylen Cannon 15.

LITTLEFIELD TRACK ATHLETES HEADING TO AREA MEET

The Littlefield varsity track teams competed at the District 3- 3A Track Meet in Denver City on Monday and Wednesday with the Lady Cats finishing fifth overall with 89 points and the Wildcats finishing sixth with 62 points.

WILDCATS DROP HEART-BREAKER TO LAMESA, 6-5

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team dropped a heart-breaker on the road on Friday against Lamesa, 6-5. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to, 8-9-1 overall, 1-2 in district play. Both teams went scoreless until the bottom of the second inning when Lamesa struck first.

LADY CATS FALL TO LAMESA IN SECOND MEETING, 10-1

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team fell to the Lamesa Lady Tornadoes on the road on Friday, 10-1, in their second meeting of the season. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 10-7 overall, 3-3 in district play.

S-E JH track teams claim District 4-1A titles

The Springlake-Earth Junior High seventh and eighth grade track teams competed at the District 4-1A Track Meet that was hosted by Kress High School on Friday. Both teams claimed the district championship with the boys finishing with 211 points and the girls finishing with 136 points.

BRINGING HOME MEDALS – Littlefield’s Brian Green brought home two medals on Saturday from the Special Olympics Track and Field Event that was held at People’s Bank Stadium on the campus of Frenship High School in Wolfforth, TX.

The Amherst Junior High seventh and eighth grade track teams competed at the District 4-1A Track Meet that was hosted by Kress High School on Friday. The boys got third with 116 points and the girls finished fifth with 58 points.

NETTES TRACK TEAM CLAIMS DISTRICT TITLE

The Sudan varsity track teams hosted the District 5-2A Track Meet on Friday, where the Nettes took first place overall with 178 points and the Hornets placed third with 144 points. Individual results are as follows: Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 4 th Lizseth Sital 14.
