WOLVERINES CLAIM AREA TITLE; LADY WOLVERINES FINISH AS RUNNER-UPS

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the District-3 and 4-1A Area Track Meet at Longhorn Field on Wednesday, April 20 th with the Wolverines claiming the Area Championship with 154 points and the Lady Wolverines placing second with 101.5 points.

Olton tracksters advance to Regionals

The Olton varsity track teams competed at the Area Track Meet at Tyer Stadium in Floydada on Thursday with the Mustangs taking third place overall with 94 points and the Fillies finishing eighth with 27 points. Individual results are as follows: Boy’s 100-meter dash 1 st Josh Granillo 11.

WILDCATS STUMBLE IN, 13-9, LOSS TO CUBS

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team blew a seven-run lead on Tuesday, in a, 13-9, loss to the Brownfield Cubs on the road. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 8-10-1 overall, 1-3 in district play.
