LADY CATS TAKE DOWN MULESHOE, 8-4

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team held off a late push from the Muleshoe Lady Mules on Tuesday to take their first district meeting at home, 8-4. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 10-6 overall, 3-2 in district play.

7th grade Lady Cats win District track meet

The Littlefield Junior High seventh and eighth grade track teams competed at the District 3-3A Track Meet, which was held at Benny Douglas Stadium in Muleshoe on Thursday, March 31st . The seventh grade girls placed first overall with 175 points, while the boys finished 4th with 99 points.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team got off to a late start offensively on Tuesday, before taking down the Muleshoe Mules, 10-6, in their first meeting of district play. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 8-8-1 overall, 1-1 in district play.

BOWNDS, SAWYER GOING TO REGIONALS IN GIRLS’ DOUBLES

The Littlefield girl’s doubles team of Julie Bownds and Chloe Sawyer qualified for Regionals last Monday at the District Tennis Meet, where they placed second overall. In the First round the pair took down Brownfield, winning the first set, 6-4 and the second set, 6-2.
