Lady Wolverines take first at Kress Relays

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the Kress Relays on Friday with the Lady Wolverines taking first place overall with 154 points and the Wolverines finishing ninth with 13.5 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 10th Jessica Mendoza 15.

Amherst track teams compete at Kress Relays

The Amherst varsity track teams competed at the Kress Relays on Friday with the Bulldogs taking fourth place overall with 68 points and the Lady Bulldogs placing seventh with 41 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 2nd Dennys Reyes 14.30 13th America Pacheco 16.

Wildcats come up short against Falcons, 3-0

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team dropped a tough contest to the 3A #6 Bushland Falcons on Tuesday, 3-0, at Wildcat Field in Littlefield. Bushland took a, 1-0, lead in the first inning, but the Wildcats started to make a little noise offensively in the bottom of the third inning.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team took down the Dimmitt Bobcats at home on Saturday, 11-7, in non-district play. Jose Medina ripped a lead-off triple to right field on an error by Gabe Montalvo, but Isaiah Rodriguez got Edwin Macias to strike out looking for out number one.

The Sudan varsity track teams competed at the Farwell Relays on Thursday with the Nettes finishing fifth overall with 48 points and the Hornets finishing sixth with 18 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 14th Arianna Sanchez 15.59 16th Kaileigh Greenwalt 15.

Olton opens district play with over Owls

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity baseball team opened District play on Monday with a victory over Hale Center on the road, 15-3. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 1-0 in district play on the season.

Mustangs improve to 2-0 in district with win over Owls

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity baseball team swept the season series with Hale Center on Tuesday with a, 24-4, home victory over the Owls. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 2-0 in district play.
