Lamb County had three individual girl’s competitors compete at the State Golf Tournaments in Austin and Kyle, Tx last week.
The Class 1A Girl’s State Golf Tournament took place on May 15th and 16th at Plum Creek Golf Course, where Springlake-Earth junior, Taytum Goodman, competed.
Goodman shot a 103 on day one of the tournament, but bounced back on day two to shoot a 91, giving her a total of 194, which had her finish tied for 16th our of 70 golfers.
The Class 2A Girl’s State Golf Tournament was taking place at the same time in Austin, at Lion’s Municipal Golf Course, where Sudan senior, Landree Gonzales, and Olton senior, Kylee Noack, were competing.
Gonzales finished tied for 25th overall, as she shot a 94 on day one of the tournament and a 99 on day two, finishing with a total of 193.
Noack finished tied for 30th, shooting a 103 on day one and a 94 on day two, finishing with a total of 197.
