LITTLEFIELD HEAD COACH

LITTLEFIELD HEAD COACH Jimmy Thomas and his wife, Kayla were special guests at the Rotary Club’s meeting Thursday, Aug. 26. He introduced himself for the program. Coach Thomas grew up at Fritch, and after High School, he joined the Navy during Desert Storm. Coach Thomas is now working at his fifth different coaching job. He has worked 26 years in education, and 17 years of those were as a coach. He said he learned more while in the Navy, than anywhere else. His passion is working with youngsters, and wants his players to have fun while playing their games; have faith to get where they want to be; have a family approach, to communicate; and keep their feet where they need to be. “I believe it’s God’s plan for me to be here,” he said. He and his wife Kayla are parents of three grown children: two daughters and a son. (Staff Photo by Joella Lovvorn)
