The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team placed third at their district meet on Monday, Oct. 11 th at the Yoakum County Golf Course. They finished the meet with 80 total points.
Senior, Edgar Delgado, led the Hornets, placing 12 th overall with a time of 20:39.62. Sophomore, Alan Flores, finished 15 th with a time of 21:57.69, while sophomore, Enrique Gonzalez, finished 16 th with a time of 22:35.19, and junior, Josue Cervera, finished 18 th with a time of 23:53.78.
Sophomore, Joseph Willeford, finished 19 th with a time of 24:08.79.
The Hornets will be competing at Regionals in Lubbock on Oct. 25 th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.

Freshman, Addisyn Harrell, led the Nettes, placing third with a time of 14:06.38. Senior, Olivia Montes, placed sixth overall with a time of 14:29.14, while senior, Hailey Flores, finished 12 th with a time of 15:36.63.
Junior, Kambry Tolbert, finished 13 th with a time of 15:36.93, while senior, Heidi Pinion-Muniz, finished 14 th with a time 15:47.40. Senior, Elora Thorn, finished 15 th with a time of 16:22.07, and freshman, Edette Herrera, finished 16 th with a time of 16:34.82.
The Nettes will be competing at Regionals in Lubbock on Oct. 25 th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
