DENVER CITY JV TOURNAMENT RUNNER-UPS – The Littlefield JV Wildcats’ basketball team went 5-1 at the Denver City JV Tournament this past weekend, falling to Midland Legacy in the Championship game on Saturday, 42-31.

Lamb Co. Farm Bureau member completes leadership program

(WACO, Texas)—Twenty Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) members, including one from Lamb County. The next community prayer meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at St. John’s Baptist Church, 311 N Eastside Ave. in Littlefield. Pastor Ray Trevino will host the meeting.

Annual Christmas for Kids Toy Drive underway

The Lamb County Sheriff ’s Office Annual Christmas for Kids toy drive applications are now ready to be picked up. Applications for the Christmas for Kids toy drive can be picked up at the Lamb County Sheriff ’s Office or any local bank in the cities of Amherst, Sudan, Olton, Littlefield and Earth.

Library Christmas Open House set for December 6th

The Lamb County Library is hosting a Christmas Open House Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lamb County Library, located at 110 E. Sixth Street. Guests are invited to see the different programs the library offers throughout the year and the Christmas displays.

Thanksgiving Day Crash results in two deceased

A fatal crash took place on the evening of Thanksgiving, last Thursday, Nov. 24th, approximately eight miles south of Springlake. Ma De La Luz Villarreal, 55, of Hereford, was driving her 2011 GMC Acadia northbound on US 385.

Lfd. Lady Cats hold off Hereford, 47-42, for victory

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team picked up a victory on Tuesday at home over the Hereford Lady Whitefaces, 4742. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 2-3 overall on the season.

New Assistant Libraian enjoys being in Texas

Elizabeth “Peach” Schroeder was born in Minneapolis, Maryland before coming to Texas for a missions program three years ago. She met her husband, a youth minister, and has been in Littlefield since March, but has been the Assistant Librarian at the Lamb County Library since July.
