Grand Jury returns 14 Indictments

The Lamb County Grand Jury for the January Term A.D. 2022 of the Lamb County 154th Judicial District Court met on Wednesday March, 29, 2023, when they returned 14 indictments. Gerrado Hernandez was indicted on a charge of Possession of a controlled substance PG1/1-B<1G 481.

City Council holds regular meeting Tuesday

The governing body of the City of Littlefield, Texas met on March 28th at the City Council Chambers, located at 525 Phelps Avenue, for the purpose of considering all matters and related incidents to the City of Littlefield. Mayor Eric Turpen called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.

Amherst Chamber Celebrates Centennial

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Chamber of Commerce banquet on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. The event was held at the Amherst School cafeteria. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Larry Sawyer. The invocation was presented by James Price Jr.
2023 REGIONAL QUALIFIERS - The Littlefield varsity tennis team had three girls qualify for the Regional Tennis Meet on Thursday. Julie Bownds and Chloe Sawyer took second at the District meet in girl’s doubles, while Ale Rojas took second at the District meet in girl’s singles. They are coached by Head Coach Matthew Arce. The wild 2023 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament continued this past weekend with the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 providing some more “March Madness”. There are no perfect brackets left after a wild first four rounds. Our Big Bracket Challenge had 24 people in the field this year.
