The Olton Mustang Band earned a I rating at the UIL Marching Contest held at the Capital Plains Bank Lowery Field in Lubbock on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Olton will be competing at the 2A Area Competition at Dick Bivins Stadium in Amarillo on Oct. 21st.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team was clicking on all cylinders on Friday night as they defended Wildcat Stadium against the Stanton Buffaloes, bringing home the victory, 60-21. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 6-1 overall, 2-0 in district play.

Sr. Citizens serving lunch on Wednesdays

The Lamb County Senior Citizens’ are back in business for Wednesday lunhes. On Wednesdays at noon, potluck meals are served, with members taking their favorite dish to share, or by paying a $6 lunch fee. The Center operates on donations of any amount.

Trick-or-Treat at Arbor Grace

Arbor Grace Wellness Center is asking for candy donations, so their residents can treat the treaters. Please have the donations turned in by Oct. 23rd. Trick-or-treaters can come by to get candy on Oct. 31st starting at 6:30 p.m.

Hereford McDonald’s restaurant manager receives prestigious global award

The manager of a McDonald’s in Hereford recently received recognition for being among the top performers in the global company, the company announced recently. Wes Gaffney, manager of the Hereford location, became one of 395 McDonald’s managers across 70 markets to earn the Ray Kroc Award.
