The Olton varsity track teams competed at the 2A Area Track Meet at Tyler Stadium in Floydada on Thursday with the Mustangs finishing 10th overall with 20 points and the Fillies finishing 11th with 12 points.Individual results are as follows:Boy’s 100-meter dash3rd Jaime Reyna 11.

Mustangs come up short against Lions, 11-9

The Olton Mustangs dropped a tough contest in Littlefield to the New Deal Lions on Wednesday, 11-9, a game which was originally scheduled for Tuesday in Olton.With the loss, the Mustangs fall to 6-3 in district play.

Littlefield Track teams primed for ARea meet

The Littlefield varsity track teams competed at the District 3--3A Track Meet at Musatng Stadium in Denver City last Thursday and Friday with the Wildcats placing second overall with 140 points and the Lady Cats placing fifth overall with 82 points.

The Olton varsity track teams competed at the District 4-2A Track Meet at Tyler Stadium in Floydada last Thursday and Friday with the Fillies finishing fifth overall with 108 points and the Mustangs finishing fifth with 146 points.

Lady Cats finish off Fillies on Wednesday, 26-13

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team began play on Tuesday with the Fillies in Denver City, but the game had to be postponed until Wednesday, due to an injury to the home-plate umpire.

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the District 4-1A Track Meet in Kress on Tuesday with the Lady Wolverines taking first place overall with104 points and the Wolverines finishing second overall with 123 points.
