NETTES FALL TO IDALOU ON THE ROAD, 73-48

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to the Class 3A, fourth ranked Idalou Lady Cats on the road on Saturday, 73-48, for their first loss of the season. With the loss, they fall to 2-1 overall on the season.

MUSTANGS SET TO BATTLE WITH CISCO IN AREA ROUND

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team won their first gold football since 2009 last week when they took down New Deal, 35-33, in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the football play-offs. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 8-3 overall on the season.

Olton Fillies take down Floydada, 42-28

The Olton Fillies’ varsity basketball team picked up a win on Friday over the Floydada Lady Wmds, 42-28. The Fillies outscored the Lady Wmds, 9-6, in the first quarter and, 9-8, in the second quarter to take an, 18-14, lead into the locker room at halftime.

SUDAN FALLS TO WINK, 53-29, IN FIRST ROUND OF PLAY-OFFS

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team saw their season come to an end in the Class 2A Division II Bi-district round of the play-offs on Thursday, as they fell to Wink, 53-29. The Hornets finish the season with an overall mark of 5-6.

BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS - The Olton Mustang’s varsity football team claimed their first-Bi-district trophy since 2009, as they defeated the New Deal Lions on Thursday afternoon, 35-33, at Lobo Stadium in Levelland. Lady Cats well represented with All-District selections

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ volleyball team was well represented on the All-District team, led by sophomore, Madison McNeese, who was awarded Blocker of the Year for District 3-3A. ‘We have never received this many district honors and I ambeyond proud of our girls,” Head Coach Claire Head said.

Nettes finish ninth at Regional XC Meet

The Sudan Nettes finished ninth overall as a team on Tuesday at the Region I-2A Cross Country Meet, which took place at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The Nettes finished the meet with 270 points.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team throttled the Hale Center Lady Owls on Tuesday, 94-35. The Nettes jumped out to a, 22-8, lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Lady Wolverines win season-opener over Muleshoe, 62-40

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team picked up a win in their season-opener on Monday over Muleshoe, 62-40. Sophomore, Halee Toscano, led the team in scoring with 19 points, to go along with six rebounds, two steals and one assist, while junior, Sayler Beerwinkle, tallied 17 points, nine rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist.
