The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team fell short of a comeback in their home game against the Brownfield Cubs on Friday, 49-43. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 13-9 overall, 6-4 in district play.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team bounced the Amherst Lady Bulldogs on Friday, 84-22, to close out the regular season as undefeated district champions. With the win, the Lady Wolverines fmish the regular season with a mark of 15-4 overall, 12-0 in district play.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team secured the district championship on Friday with a road victory over Amherst, 90-44. With the win, the Wolveirnes improve to 14-3 overall, 11-0 in district play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team dropped their regular season finale at home on Friday, 61-32. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 11-7 overall, 10-2 in district play.

With the peak of District Basketball season and Playoffs upon us, it is appropriate for each of us to be reminded of a few of the basic behavior expectations that the University Interscholastic League (UIL) has set forth for all spectators to follow at all athletic contests. The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team took down the Friona Chieftains on the road on Tuesday night, 41-20, to improve to 13-8 overall, 6-3 in district play. Senior forward, Tyree Jones, tipped the opening tip-off to senior forward, Chris Brown, for a quick lay-up to open the contest.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team locked up the district championship on Tuesday with a, 77-20 victory overa Kress. With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 14-4 overall, 11-0 in district play.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team suffered their first loss of district play on Tuesday on the road against Sundown, 60-46. With the loss, the Nettes fall to 13-12 overall, 6-1 in district play.
