NETTES CRUISE PAST RALLS, 70-26

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball cruised to a, 70-26, victory over the Ralls Lady Rabbits on Tuesday night.

With the win, the Nettes improve to 11-7 overall, 3-0 in district play. The Nettes outscored Ralls, 106, in the first quarter, but exploded for a 20-point second frame to take a, 30-12, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Sudan netted 19 points in the third quarter to push their lead to, 49-14, heading into the fourth quarter. In the final frame, Sudan poured in 21 points to take the contest, 70-26.

Gracyn Shultz tallied 18 points, seven steals, four rebounds and one block to lead the Nettes, while Braelyn Pointer chipped in 15 points, three steals and four rebounds. Blessy Montes contributed 10 points, one rebound and one assist, while Stevi Lockhart tallied seven points, five assists, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Edette Herrera tallied seven points, five steals, three assists and two rebounds, while Elaine Martinez contributed six points, six rebounds, three steals and one assist, and Melo Rodriguez added five points, four rebounds and one steal. Kambry Tolbert contributed two points, one rebound, one assist and one steal, while Brianna Sanchez added three assists and Landree Gonzales finished with four steals, two blocks and one assist.

The Nettes will be back in action on Dec. 28th when they travel to Sands.
