Lady Bulldogs fall to Anton, 56-12

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity basketball team fell to the Anton Lady Dogs on Tuesday in District play, 56-12.

With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fall to 6-9 overall, 0-4 in district play.

Anton jumped out to a, 13-1, lead in the first quarter, and outscored Amherst, 10-2, in the second frame to take a, 23-3, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Amherst netted four points in the third quarter and five points in the fourth quarter, before falling to the Lady Dogs, 56-12.

The Lady Bulldogs were at home to take on Whiteface on Friday. Results were not available at press time. They will return to district action on Jan. 24th to take on Meadow on the road.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
