Wildcats clip Cranes in extra innings to take game 1

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team won an extra inning thriller on Friday in Seminole, as they took game one of their three-game series over the Crane Golden Cranes, 3-2, in nine innings.With the win, the Wildcats improved to 13-10 overall on the year.

area athletes represent lamb county at State track meet

Springlake-Earth and Sudan were represented at the U.I.L. State Track Meet this past weekend where they brought home two gold medals and two silver medals.For Sudan, they were represented by Slade Nickels, who took second place in the 2A men’s high jump competition, where he cleared the bar at 6’5”.

The Olton Mustangs saw their season come to an end on Thursday night in Littlefield, as they fell to the Ropes Eagles in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the playoffs, 9-0.
